Sugar (Diabetes) Control

What to do

  • 1Warning signs: very thirsty, frequent urination, sudden weight loss, slow-healing wounds, blurred vision.
  • 2Walk briskly for 30 minutes every day — even after meals.
  • 3Eat more millets (ragi, jowar), vegetables, and dal. Cut down sugar, sweets, and white rice.
  • 4Drink methi (fenugreek) water in the morning: soak 1 teaspoon overnight and drink the water.
  • 5Check blood sugar as the doctor advises and never stop the medicine on your own.
When to see a doctor

Go to a hospital at once if you feel very dizzy, faint, confused, have fruity breath, or cannot eat or drink.

These home remedies support — they do not replace — a doctor's advice. For children, pregnant women, and serious illness, always consult a qualified doctor or your nearest PHC.
